A well qualified ELT professional actively involved in running an educational institution forever 14 years, my quest to articulate my creative expression began almost 14 years ago when my soul began craving expression and evolution. Catharsis happened in the form of jewelry as I felt I wanted to create. Learning to make lamp work beads and working with precious metal clay added to my vocabulary, and working as a mixed-media artist is my most recent avatar.
The Universe graciously concedes, guiding me to wonderful friends and amazing artists around the world, and resources are made available in the most unbelievable ways at times.
My Art Clay Silver training and Level 1 and Senior certification was conducted in the USA in 2005.The same year, I learnt the magic of creating glass beads…and have learned with the most amazing glass artists and teachers ever since.
In 2007, I trained as an International Art Clay Silver Instructor. The same year, I was awarded a weeklong scholarship at the Corning Museum of Glass for an intensive glass bead making session with Kristina Logan, and was also chosen as the international scholarship awardee for the ISGB international scholarship programme.
In 2010, my piece was chosen for the Japan Jewellery Designers’ Association Chairman’s Award in the Silver Accessories Contest. Another piece won an honorable mention in another competition in Japan the same year.
A list of work published and covered by the media so far may be found at…….
I fine tune my skills and my self constantly and consistently, by taking classes from master artists around the world…in person…and online too.
I choose to let the creative muse take over and connect me to the magic of the universe to create works that are universally celebrated and worn by wonderful souls, who cherish the effort and the spirit with which each glass bead/piece of jewelry/artwork is patiently and paintstakingly handcrafted.
